Meet the IHS Team – Liz Holland, Operations & Enrolments

It’s time to meet the IHS team again. This month we are delighted to introduce you to Liz Holland

Q1: What qualifications in the Health and Wellness field do you hold?
Diploma in Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching, Certificate in Health & Wellness Coaching, Certificate in Stress Management.

Q2: What is your role at IHS?
Member of the operations team, working on a part-time basis.

Q3: What does your role at IHS look like on a day to day basis?
My role is varied: I host online and London based information events, as an enrolment consultant I liaise with potential students to help them make informed decisions regarding course choices, and I facilitate the operation of our Free Study Trial.

Q4: How did you get into the health and wellness industry?
Originally I studied business and politics, obtaining a Bachelors and a Masters degree in those areas. After working for a number of years I found that I was not being fulfilled by my corporate career and realised I wanted to pursue my real passion – health & wellbeing. To turn my passion into a career, I decided to gain formal qualifications at IHS, undertaking the IHS Diploma in Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching in London. I feel very fortunate to have studied at IHS and have gained fantastic experience as a practitioner since completing my studies two years ago.

Q5: What is your philosophy on, and what do you feel are the most important elements of, health and wellness?

My philosophy is that health is more than the absence of disease: It means living life with energy, joy and purpose. I believe that there is no “one size fits all” solution to achieving and sustaining health and wellbeing. I recognise that as individuals we are all unique and therefore require bespoke nutrition and lifestyle plans. As a Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach (NLC) my aim is to educate, empower and engage individuals with their health and ultimately get them to self-manage their overall wellness that improves their quality of life for the future.

Q6: Why do you think individuals should consider a career in health and wellness?
Supporting people to transform their health is immensely rewarding. The area of health and wellness is a very exciting one to be part of and an area that is continually growing with lots of diverse opportunities for those who are passionate about the industry. My experience to date has included: delivering a 6 month pre-diabetes prevention programme in London, conducting corporate presentations for employee wellbeing, working on a one-to-one basis with clients and working with IHS.
